Functional Aspects:Cyclin E activity is mediated via its activation of cyclin dependent kinase 2 protein and is modulated by certain tumor suppressor proteins. Cyclin E overexpression shortens the length of G1 phase, accelerating progression of the cell cycle into S phase. This antibody is specific for cyclin E and may help characterize its expression in a variety of tissue types.
