Functional Aspects:Cyclin D3 is induced in G1 phase of the cell cycle, though later than cyclin D1. Interestingly cyclin D3 and cyclin D1 share 53% sequence homology. Cyclin D3 appears to have activity similar to the other D-type cyclins when complexed with cyclin dependent kinases. This antibody will help detect cyclin D3 in normal and uncharacterized tissues.
