Functional Aspects:
CD99, also referred to under several alternative names, is expressed predominantly in cortical thymocytes and T lymphocytes. It is also found on some cells of the ovary, testis, pancreas and some endothelial cells. CD99 is involved with rosette formation with certain mammalian red blood cells and has been described in certain tumors. This antibody will help detect CD99 on normal and uncharacterized tissues. |
