8-Br-cGMP
A PKG activator
Product Overview
Product Name: 8-Br-cGMP
Alternate Name/Synonyms: 8- Bromoguanosine- 3', 5'- cyclic monophosphate, cyclic 8- bromoguanosine- 3', 5'- monophosphate, 8- bromoguanosine- 3', 5'-monophosphate
Description: A cell-permeable cGMP analog having greater resistance to hydrolysis by phosphodiesterases than cGMP. Activates cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG), slows or inhibits the intracellular calcium oscillations of tracheal smooth muscle cells in response to acetylcholine. It inhibits thrombin stimulated arachidonic acid release in human platelets.
