ODN 2216 Control (ODN 2243)
Negative control for ODN 2216
ODN 2216 Control (also known as ODN 2243) is designed as a negative control for the TLR9 agonist ODN 2216.
ODN 2216 is an A-class CpG ODN with a preference for human TLR9. A-class CpG ODNs are characterized by a phosphodiester central CpG-containing palindromic motif and a phosphorothioate 3’ poly-G string. They induce high IFN-α production from plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDC) but are weak stimulators of TLR9-dependent NF-κB signaling [1-3].
ODN 2216 Control (ODN 2243) contains GpC dinucleotides instead of CpGs and does not induce TLR9 activity [3-5].
