Native MMP-9-Lipocalin-TIMP-1 complex from stimulated human neutrophils. The ternary MMP-9/lipocalin/TIMP-1 complex behaves like the Pro-MMP-9/TIMP-1 complex, acting as an inhibitor of active MMPs. Following activation, the complex acts as a gelatinase, with reduced activity. Note: 1 mU = 1 milliunit.
