Functional Aspects:Transforming growth factor beta receptor is a transmembrane serine/threonine kinase that binds transforming growth beta (TGFB). TGFB inhibits cell proliferation and stimulates cell differentiation via this and other receptors. TGFB receptors are found in myometrial tissues, renal tubular cells, fundic glands of gastric mucosa and epithelial cells of the upper crypts of normal small bowel and colon. TGFB receptors have been reported to have altered expression in certain diseases. This antibody will help detect TGFB receptor in a variety of tissues.
