Functional Aspects:
Clusterin has several names including apolipoprotein J. This protein is implicated in numerous biological functions including sperm maturation, lipid transport, regulation of the complement cascade, membrane recycling, cell death, immune regulation, cell adhesion and morphological transformation. It is found in certain conditions such as amyloid disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, breast cancer and anaplastic large cell lymphoma. This antibody will help identify clusterin in a variety of tissue types. |
