Functional Aspects: CD22 is a glycoprotein present both on the membrane and in the cytoplasm of B lymphocytes. Surface expression however is variable and may be lost upon differentiation. CD22 has been reported to be present in certain leukemias. It is absent from peripheral blood T cells, T cell leukemias, granulocytes and monocytes. This antibody will help detect CD22 and B cells in a variety of tissue types. |
