Functional Aspects:
Caspase-3 is regarded as a control mediator of apoptosis in mammalian cells. It is processed during apoptosis from an inactive proenzyme to its active form and functions to cleave certain proteins. Caspase-3 is found in some epithelia, kidney, thymus, bone, tonsil, lymph node and bone marrow cells. This antibody will help detect caspase-3 in normal and uncharacterized tissues. |
