Functional Aspects:Alpha fetoprotein (AFP) is an oncofetal protein expressed in the fetal liver but not found in normal healthy adult tissues. Interestingly, it is present in c e rtain tumors and body fluids. This antibody will help detect the presence of AFP in fetal hepatocytes and uncharacterized tissues.
