说明:由产生放线菌酮的放线菌发酵液中提得的一种抗生素。无色晶体。熔点119~121℃。易溶于甲醇、乙醇和丙酮,微溶于水。耐酸、耐热。在碱性情况下易分解。对酵母菌、霉菌、原虫等病原菌等有抑制作用。对细菌无显著抑制作用。农业上,用于防治樱桃叶斑病、樱花穿孔病、桃树菌核病、橡树立枯病、薄荷及松树的疱锈病、甘薯黑疤病、菊花黑星病和玫瑰的霉病等。此外,也是鼠类、兔子、狗熊、野猪等的忌避剂。也可由链霉素、制霉菌素等发酵液中的副产物制得。
性状: 无色片状结晶。2℃时溶解度(g/100ml):水中2.1,乙酸戊酯7.0。溶于氯仿、乙醇、乙醚、丙酮和甲醇。
熔点:119.5-121℃(115-116℃),比旋光度[α]D25 +6.8˚(c=2,水中),[α]D29+3.38˚(c=9.47,甲醇中)。有毒,半数致死量(小鼠,静脉)150mg/kg。有刺激性.

Description
Biochem/physiol Actions Cycloheximide (CHX) is an antibiotic produced by S. griseus. Its main biological activity is translation inhibition in eukaryotes resulting in cell growth arrest and cell death. CHX is widely used for selection of CHX-resistant strains of yeast and fungi, controlled inhibition of protein synthesis for detection of short-lived proteins and super-induction of protein expression, and apoptosis induction or facilitation of apoptosis induction by death receptors.
