性状: 黄色结晶。无臭。溶于稀盐酸,溶于碱液同时分解。熔点185～204℃(油浴预热到160℃)。比旋光度[α]21589+20.4°±0.6°(c=1, 0.1mol/L氢氧化钠溶液中)。pH 1时最大吸收波长244、307nm(ε 17300、19700)、pH 13时最大吸收波长257、302、370nm(ε 23000、22000、7100)。半数致死量(大鼠,静脉)14mG/kG。
用途: 叶酸拮抗剂。二氢叶酸还原酶的有效抑制剂。免疫抑制剂。组织培养试剂。
