Paeoniflorin
Description
Paeoniflorin is a glycoside isolated from the root of Paeonia lactiflora. It has been used as an anticonvulsant and has hypoglycemic effect. It reverses guanethidine-induced hypotension by activating the central adenosine A1 receptors in the brain.
