Asiaticoside
Description
Asiaticoside is a triterpene glycoside isolated from the plant Centella asiatica, commonly used in wound healing. The wound healing activity of asiaticoside is a result of stimulation of collagen synthesis and glycosaminoglycan synthesis. This glycoside was also found to have activity against herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 as well as microbiocidal on mycobacterium tuberculosis.
