Butyl Sepharose™ 4B
Butyl Sepharose 4B is a separation media for hydrophobic interaction
chromatography (HIC). Substances are separated on the basis of their
different hydrophobicities.
The butyl group is coupled to 4% agarose matrix by the cyanogen
bromide method.
Ligand density : 10 to14 μmol butyl groups/ml drained
medium
