Fluorescein RNA Labeling Mix
Application
This labeling mix can be used (with SP6, T3, or T7 RNA polymerase) to add a nonradioactive label to RNA during in vitro transcription. The labeled RNA can easily and safely be detected (e.g ., either directly or with an enzyme-conjugated anti-fluorescein).

The ready-to-use, 10x conc. mix contains:
•ATP, CTP, and GTP, each at a concentration of 10 mM
•UTP, 6.5 mM
•fluorescein-12-UTP, 3.5 mM
Labeling Efficiency
A standard labeling reaction with 1 µg linear template DNA and an RNA polymerase produces approx. 10 µg of full-length, fluorescein-labeled RNA. In a spot test, a combination of anti-fluorescein-AP and the chemiluminescence substrate CSPD can detect as little as 0.3 pg of the fluorescein-labeled RNA.
