This antibody reacts specifically with Claudin-5 protein. In the brain and lung, claudin-5 is exclusively concentrated at cell-cell borders in endothelial cells of blood vessels, but not at those of epithelial cells. In contrast, claudin-5 is restricted to endothelial cells of arteries, but not veins and capillaries in the kidney.Positive tissue: Colon tissue.
