Tau Monoclonal Antibody, Mouse (T46)
This purified, unconjugated Mouse anti-Tau monoclonal antibody is specific to human, mouse, rat, rabbit, chicken, Xenopus, and bovine Tau. Anti-Tau recognizes the expressed product of the MAPT gene. Tau is a type II microtubule-associated protein or MAP. Tau is located in the axons and dendrites of nerve cells where it accelerates tubulin polymerization and cross-links microtubule fibers into stabilized bundles. In this way, the tau protein promotes axon growth. Mouse anti-Tau monoclonal antibody is used in ELISA, electron microscopy, immunofluorescence*, immunohistochemistry*, immunoprecipitation, western blotting, and immunocytochemistry applications.
