Description
O'GeneRuler 1 kb DNA Ladder, ready-to-use, is recommended for sizing and approximate quantification of a wide range of double-stranded DNA fragments in agarose gels. The ladder is a mixture of chromatography-purified individual DNA fragments.
O'GeneRuler™ 1 kb DNA Ladder, ready-to-use, is premixed with 6X Orange DNA Loading Dye, which contains xylene cyanol FF and orange G. In a 1% agarose gel orange G dye migrates at 50 bp. O'GeneRuler™ 1 kb DNA Ladder is ideal when visualization of small DNA fragments is important.
The ladder is supplied with 6X Orange DNA Loading Dye for sample DNA.
Quality Control
Tested in appropriate gel electrophoresis applications. Concentration of each DNA fragment and of the complete ladder determined spectrophotometrically. The absence of nucleases confirmed by appropriate tests.

O'GeneRuler Storage and Loading Buffer
10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.6), 10 mM EDTA, 0.025% orange G, 0.005% xylene cyanol FF and 10% glycerol.
6X Orange DNA Loading Dye
10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.6), 0.15% orange G, 0.03% xylene cyanol FF, 60% glycerol and 60 mM EDTA.
Storage
Store at room temperature or at 4°C for up to 6 months.
For longer periods, store at -20°C. |
