Functional Aspects:
Utrophin is a homologue of dystrophin and in normal muscle utrophin expression is restricted to neuromuscular junctions. Interestingly, in dystrophin-deficient muscle, utrophin may be upregulated and is also present around the periphery of most muscle fibers. This antibody will help identify utrophin expression in muscle sections. |
