Functional Aspects:E-cadherin is a cell adhesion molecule involved with cell growth and development through pathways that control tissue architecture and normal tissue integrity. Expression of E-cadherin in tumor tissue varies due to loss of tissue architecture and integrity. This antibody will help detect E-cadherin in normal and uncharacterized tissues.
