Application & Usage: Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). The antibody detects procaspase-11 (45 kDa), a partially cleaved fragment (30 kDa) and fully cleaved fragment (20 kDa). A 58 kDa unknown identity band was also detected in 3T3 cells.

Background Descriptions: Caspase family of cysteine proteases has been shown to play a key role in apoptosis. Caspase-11 is also synthesized as inactive pro-enzyme that are processed in cells undergoing apoptosis or inflammation. The processed form of caspase-11 consists of large and small subunits which associate to form an active enzyme.
