 天然的和重组的RNasin® 核酸酶抑制剂具有广谱的抑制RNase 活性的性质，包括抑制中性型(neutral type) 真核RNase。该抑制剂的分子量为50kDa，按1:1 的比例与RNase 非共价结合发挥抑制作用。RNasin® Ribonuclease Inhibitor 与RNase( 如RNase A) 结合的Ki 值大约是10-14M。Promega 提供两种不同的抑制剂：天然的RNasin® Ribonuclease Inhibitor 和重组的RNasin® Ribonuclease Inhibitor。两种产品均通过离子交换和亲和层析相结合的纯化方法纯化得到.
特点： 
抑制常见的真核RNase：RNasin Ribonuclease Inhibitor 具有广谱RNase 抑制特性，包括 RNase A、RNase B、RNase C 和人类胎盘RNase，不抑制RNase T1、S1 核酸酶、曲霉(Aspergillus ) 中的 RNase 以及RNase H、RNase ONE  Ribonuclease。
兼容性：RNasin® Ribonuclease Inhibitor 不抑制SP6、T7 或T3RNA Polymerase、ImProm-II、AMV 或M-MLV Reverse Transcriptase 或Taq DNA Polymerase。
pH 范围宽：在较宽的pH 范围内(pH 5-8) 均可发挥作用。
